In House Client Manager – Events

Location: Central London
Hours: Full time
Contract: Permanent

Oxygen Event Services, one of London’s leading production agencies, seeks a talented AV Manager to service and manage our in-house contract for a prestigious luxury heritage venue, in the heart of London.

The high-end venue welcomes hundreds of corporate occasions, private events, festive celebrations and weddings every year. Oxygen is the in-house production supplier, providing audio and visual solution using state of the art production equipment.

As the AV Manager you will be the venue’s production expert, leading the technical team to design and deliver AV solutions in line with client’s briefs and budgets. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with our Client Manager to extract the AV/Production technical requirements from the client brief
  • Designing creative and innovative AV/Production solutions
  • Assisting the Client Manager on AV/Production quotes, ensuring correct kit is quoted for.
  • Project managing the AV/Production delivery including:
    • Producing Equipment checklists
    • Writing up AV/Production event schedules and liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
    • Allocating AV/Production technicians and freelancers, including time/rota management
    • Oversee equipment delivery
    • Overseeing AV/Production installation and de-rig
  • Line managing 2 event technicians
  • General health and safety
  • Representing Oxygen in a technical capacity
  • Any other duties relevant to the role

The role will suit a candidate working in a similar venue, either as an experienced AV Manager looking for a new challenge, or a junior AV Manager with some line management experience ready to step up.

Up to date AV production knowledge is essential but equally important will be:

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to deal with numerous tasks at the same time, working at pace;
  • Excellent people/line management skills;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • The ability to propose creative and innovative added value solutions;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical proposals to non-technical people.
  • Passion for the role with the ability to enthuse others.

In House AV Manager

Oxygen Event Services, one of London’s leading production agencies, seeks a talented Client/Account Manager to manage and develop our in-house contract for a prestigious luxury heritage venue, in the heart of London.

The high-end venue welcomes hundreds of corporate occasions, private events, festive celebrations and weddings every year. Oxygen is the in-house production supplier, providing audio and visual solutions using state of the art production equipment.

As the Client Manager, you will work in-house, in partnership with the venue’s sales team and Oxygen’s in house AV Manager. The overall objective will be to develop and nurture the relationship between Oxygen and the venue.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Act as the production partner to the venue sales team liaising with end clients to take production briefs;
  • Work collaboratively with the AV Manager to quote on AV/Production requirements;
  • Upsell AV/Production solutions to increase production revenue.

On a longer ongoing basis, you will

  • Work strategically with the venue’s sales team to develop business opportunities and improve ways of working to ensure client and end client satisfaction.

The role will suit a candidate working in a client-facing role in a production or event agency or a similar size venue. The successful candidate is likely to be a proven client/account executive looking to step up to account management level, or alternatively an account manager seeking a new challenge.

Essential requirements for this role are:

  • Excellent client and stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop and nurture business relationships;
  • Consultative approach to understand client briefs and the ability to propose creative and innovative added value solutions;
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to deal with numerous tasks at the same time, working at pace;
  • The ability to communicate effectively and appropriately to technical and non technical people, both verbally and written in formal proposals;
  • An understanding of AV/Production;
  • Passion for the role with the ability to enthuse others.
