1500 people sit down dinner

Season highlights include a second year producing a sit down dinner for 1500 people in a temporary venue. A logistically challenging event, Oxygen was commissioned to build a 30m x 95m structure bolted onto a semi permanent existing structure to create 5700m² of event space. The project involved a 10 day build; 330 crew days and a 4 day de-rig on a working site. Oxygen designed and built an innovative venue providing full services and theming. The severe 75 miles/hour winds thankfully did not prevent the event happening.

Christmas Lunch

The comedian, Alun Cochrane was brilliant and really got us in the Christmas mood at a 900 people media Christmas lunch at the Hilton, Park Lane. Oxygen worked with the client providing a mixture of event management services and technical production.

White Christmas

A last minute enquiry posed a challenge in how to keep a chic marquee with clear walls and stunning bespoke white tack off linings spotless over 2 nights, with a white carpet and bespoke mirror dance floor for a white Christmas theme. Celebrity guests were wowed by this structure which was built on a 3m leg which was built into a London back garden.

As guests arrived at the venue they were met with a Church that appeared to be swathed in moonlight. Inside, stunning large floral designs were beautifully spot lit whilst the floor was lit in greens and pinks to create a leafy forest floor. However, the guest’s eyes were drawn to the ceiling by a canopy of twinkling stars.

The conference included a video conference with Afghanistan, 5 ways of simultaneous translation complete with 240 infra red headset receivers and 60 push to talk delegate microphones.

We had some great feedback from NATO who said “Please note that for a number of reasons it was one of the most difficult ever to put together but for me it was one of the best organised so from my side it was perfect.”

This event was delivered using Oxygen Event’s revolutionary ecOevent initiative. ecOevent concentrates on putting procedures in place to reduce the impact of events through waste neutral and sustainable event management, supported with guidance from the Eden Projects Waste Neutral Programme and BS8901. Findings on the event were generated in an environmental and sustainability report.

Utilizing the venues already spectacular in-house lighting, Oxygen added further textured lighting to create a calming atmosphere. The sound utilised the newest technology and were small and discreet, drawing no more than 3-5 amps during the evening. Inspiration for the bespoke furniture was taken from the resort’s own design using recycled cable drums to create coffee tables, poseur tables and the Cevetchi bar.

Oxygen looked after the lighting, creative production and entertainment, designing and building a marquee with a clear wall overlooking the garden and an outdoor stage booked last minute which featured performances from the highly anticipated Cirque du Soleil. The garden itself featured spooky filled with lighting and a mist covered grave yard.

Event highlights included a Virgin F1 car, F1 simulators and casino.  A large black dance floor running down the length of the Palm Tree Court created a hub for dancing to the amazingly talented Urban Groove, a percussionist, saxophonist and DJ trio who were staged on an under lit colour changing stage. Another fabulous summer evening!

Oxygen was approached last minute and pulled out all the stops to create a unique engagement party with less than a week to plan and install.

With 5 days between initial contact and event day, the structure and all the technical elements and theming were installed.. Built within the grounds of a beautiful house over two levels of the garden the team created an extravagent engagement party for 250 specially invited guests. The design of the space took on pale and romantic colours with stunning silver linings offset by a mirrored dance floor and stage, creating a chic yet opulent space. The space was filled with beautiful flower arrangements with roses imported from Ethiopia and finished off with hundreds of spakling lanterns.

All this was bought together with just a few hours notice and with a dedicated team who worked tirelessly to ensure that all this could be achieved in such a short period of time.

The space was themed mainly through the use of mirrors including a sleek mirror dance floor, mirrored bar and mirrored DJ console. The use of mirrored furniture and props enhanced and added to the already stunning lighting design.

Highlights of the event design included elegant lighting which was used to highlight the classical features within the venue whilst creating a romantic atmosphere. The wedding ceremony took place under the chuppah on a stunning central mirrored floor. Following the ceremony the venue was quickly transformed for the evening’s celebrations and a mirrored stage was built and flanked by a silver voile and twinkling pea light backdrop.

Working in the Royal Exchange adds to Oxygen’s long list of accomplishments for working in highly unique and special venues, creating some of the most stylish events.
